Celebrating the groundbreaking Habitat Restoration Project in Bay City, WI

Parade & Puppet Show

We put some Pep-in our step with LPLA resident artist Felicia Cooper for a celebration of Lake Pepin and the Mississippi River! The puppets paraded through the streets of Bay City along with musical accompaniment. Then we were treated to followed by an entertaining and informative show about native mussels, followed by a picnic lunch.

Workshops with LPLA Artist-in-Residence 

The Lake Pepin Legacy Alliance’s Resident Artist Felicia Cooper led workshops this spring to prepare us for the Restoration Celebration Puppet Parade! We created large-scale puppets of native species as part of a community-wide celebration on the shores of the restoration project. We dressed for mess as we played with cardboard, paper mâché, and imagination.
